Tennessee Football’s season odds have been released, and if things go as Vegas predicts, the Vols will struggle to finish above .500 this year.

Tennessee football’s expectations have already been spoken into the universe by VolTwitter as Tennessee fans expect the football team to be competitive and have a successful season.

The 2020 season will look a little different, with it being a ten-game all-SEC schedule. That means the Vols will have plenty of competition throughout the season, and there aren’t any easy games on the schedule this year.

Tennessee comes in with the ninth-best odds (+8000) to finish the season with the best conference record. Expectedly, Alabama is the favorite with Georgia closely following.

BetOnline and Bovada both have unfavorable season odds for Tennessee. Bovada’s line has Tennessee winning only four games, and BetOnline has Tennessee winning five games with a 5.5 betting line for total wins on the season.

If you’ve been keeping up with VolTwitter or message boards around the Tennessee community, then you likely won’t find many people agreeing with this and saying that the Vols won’t finish with a winning season.

Instead, you’ll find fan after fan giving their predictions for the season, and in almost every scenario, it ends with the Vols finishing with six, seven, or eight wins on the 2020 season.

In the end, it is still Tennessee football, so expecting the Vols to lose only two games seems to be a little crazy, but that fits the fanbase almost perfectly. Six or seven wins does seem a bit more realistic. I think a seven-win season would be very successful given the situation Tennessee and the SEC are in.

Next. It looks like the Tennessee Titans won’t be signing Jadeveon Clowney. dark

It’s already going to be a weird season, so if Tennessee were to have an eight-win season, it wouldn’t be out of the realm of what we’ve already gone through.
