Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry will be looking to repeat as the NFL’s Rushing Champion, but will he be able to do it?

There are mixed opinions surrounding Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry when it comes to expectations for the 2020 season. Some think that he’s a year older and won’t be as productive as last season, while others believe that Henry still has what it takes to be the NFL’s back-to-back Rushing Champion.

A lot of the national reporters have sided on the side of Henry will regress in 2020 due to his age. The Huddle has released its fantasy football predictions for the 2020 season, and based on their predictions, Henry will lead the NFL in rushing yards once again, and he will lead in rushing touchdowns.

The Huddle has predicted Henry will rush for 1,600 yards and finish the season with 17 rushing touchdowns. That performance would not only secure the Rushing Title in this scenario, but it would also top his rushing yards and touchdown numbers from last season. He finished the 2019 season with 1,540 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns.

Some of the experts are treating Henry like he’s in his 30s. He’s only 26 years old, and as a running back, he will soon start aging quickly, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to start his decline this year.

When Ryan Tannehill and Henry were both on the field, Henry had some of the best games of his season. Tannehill was able to give the Titans the offensive performance through the air that is necessary to force defenses not to stack the box in anticipation that Henry will get most of the attention in the offense.

Assuming that Tannehill can return as the Tannethrill of the 2019 season, then there’s no doubt that Henry could rush for over 1,500 yards again this season.
