Tennessee Football and Jeremy Pruitt are working on building a solid offensive line in the 2021 class and add third o-lineman to the class.

Before this week, Tennessee football had one offensive lineman in its 2021 recruiting class. Jeremy Pruitt and the Vols have worked on that and added two offensive linemen to the class this week alone.

Pruitt is keeping it in-state with is offensive line with signing J’Marion Gooch out of King’s Academy in Seymour, Tennessee, earlier this week and now offensive tackle William Parker out of Pearl-Cohn in Nashville to finish the workweek.

Parker is a three-star tackle standing at 6-foot-5 and 325 pounds. 247Sports has Parker ranked as the 413th overall player and 34th offensive tackle in the nation.

With Parker joining the Vols’ 2021 class, we’re now getting an idea of what Tennessee’s future offensive line will look like. Trey Smith will be ending his four-year career at Tennessee this season, so Tennessee is going to have a big hole to fill on the o-line.

Gooch offers the Vols some agility and athleticism with his game, while Parker brings pure strength to the table. An elite offensive line has players that can be that strong lineman on the end of the line taking care of pass rushers all game with athletic and powerful lineman in the middle of the line.

With the offensive line being built, Pruitt can now go to the higher-ranked players and show them what the Vols have to offer. With some pretty good players committed to the Vols, Pruitt might be able to convince five-star Amarius Mims to commit to the Vols as well.

The Vols now have 26 total commits in the 2021 class and are still working to bring in more before Early Signing Day and eventually National Signing Day. It’ll be interesting to see if recruits are scared by the fact that the Vols have so many commits or if it’ll give them confidence that they’ll be joining a solid class.
