Jadeveon Clowney has officially joined the Tennessee Titans, and Von Miller has been ruled out for Week 1, so the Titans are now the favorites.

The Denver Broncos opened the betting lines as a 1.5-point favorite over the Tennessee Titans for their Week 1 matchup, but that quickly changed after Von Miller was ruled out of the game.

Tennessee has now moved to 2.5-point favorites over the Broncos as Miller’s absence has already impacted the game in a big way before we even get to game day. Miller’s injury has resulted in him likely getting surgery and not playing any of the 2020 season.

The over/under is still set at 40.5. so Miller’s absence hasn’t affected that line, but I’m sure with him not being on the field, it will affect how the Titans’ offense goes about picking apart the Broncos defense.

Jadeveon Clowney has also made his practice debut with the Titans, but it’s unclear if the coaches will try to get him ready for the Denver game or prepare him for Week 2. If Clowney does play against the Broncos, then I don’t see a scenario where the Titans aren’t favorites against the Broncos.

The Titans offense is better, and with Clowney, the Titans defense is better than a Von Miller-less Denver defense.

I don’t think it’ll be as easy as it should be for the Titans, though. Denver is good when at home, especially in Week 1 matchups. All-time, the Broncos are 28-6-1 in home-openers, so the Broncos will be bringing some more of that same energy on Monday night.

The game is also going to be in primetime with the second Monday Night Football game to cap off Week 1 of the 2020 NFL season. It’s a unique position for the Titans to be in, and it will be a great matchup for the Titans to open the season with to see where they’re at to start the season.
