Tennessee Titans: Did Jadeveon Clowney have enough time to prepare before Week 1
Jadeveon Clowney signed with the Tennessee Titans about a week ago, but is that enough time for him to prepare for Week 1?
The Tennessee Titans are preparing for its Week 1 matchup against the Denver Broncos on Monday night, and one storyline surrounds new defensive end, Jadeveon Clowney.
Clowney signed with the Titans about a week ago, and by the time he joined the Titans in Nashville, he had less than a week to prepare for the Broncos.
He’s been working out all offseason in preparation for the season, so I’m not too worried that he could be out of shape, but I am worried that he might not understand the Titans playbook yet, or have enough practice time to properly prepare for the Monday night game.
Clowney’s trainer said that he’s prepared to go full speed on the field, but any good trainer would say that their player is ready after months of working out.
There’s a possibility that the Titans don’t even use him as a full-time defensive end against the Broncos because he isn’t prepared.
I’m excited about the possibility of Clowney being prepared and seeing what he can do in just one week with the team because if he can have a good performance with a little less than a full week to prepare, then he could be set up to have a great season.
Clowney is a great athlete, so I’m excited to see him on the field in the Titans uniform finally. He will definitely be one of the players that everyone is keeping an eye on.
There’s only one way we’ll find if Clowney is ready to play, and we will find that out tomorrow night at around 9:30 central when the Titans and Broncos take the field.
