The Tennessee Titans’ receiving corps seems to be coming together two weeks into the regular season and could be a strong point in the offense.

Through the first two weeks of the regular season, the Tennessee Titans receiving corps has stepped up with A.J. Brown not at 100% for most of the first two games of the season.

Brown was out for the Titans’ Week 2 game against the Jaguars, and that forced the rest of the receivers to step up.

In Week 1, Corey Davis was the receiver to step up for the Titans’ offense. Davis finished with seven receptions for 101 receiving yards. Adam Humphries had the second-best day. He finished with six receptions for 47 receiving yards.

Brown was available for the Titans’ Week 2 win against the Broncos, but he only had 39 receiving yards on five receptions.

After having 36 receiving yards in Week 1, Jonnu Smith showed out in Week 2 with 84 receiving yards and two touchdowns. After a lacking Week 1 performance, Smith showed out and helped a few fantasy owners out as well.

Davis didn’t quite have the performance I was hoping for in Week 2 with 36 receiving yards, but Humphries did have a pretty good day again with 48 receiving yards and one touchdown.

When Brown returns and is fully healthy, the Titans receiving corps will be able to continue to dominate, and Ryan Tannehill can spread the ball around. The Titans have a diverse receiving group where we could see a different receiver have a breakout performance every week.

Humphries has been the consistent receiver so far through the first two weeks, with Smith and Davis also stepping up in each of the Titans’ first two games.

Brown is undoubtedly the best receiver on the Titans’ roster, but he hasn’t had the opportunity to be the dominant force that the Titans want him to be so far this season. Luckily, the rest of the Titans receivers have come together to fill in the gaps.

Smith, Humphries, and Davis are all competing for the No. 2 receiver spot, and it’s better to have more receivers trying to earn playing time than not enough.

The Titans’ receivers are stepping up, and each week we’ve seen a different receiver step up. We’re still early into the regular season, but so far, it seems like the Titans’ receivers know when to step up at different times.
