Tennessee Titans reopening postponed after new positive tests
The Tennessee Titans were hoping to reopen their facilities on Wednesday, but that is being postponed after more players test positive for COVID-19.
The Tennessee Titans’ game on Sunday is back in the air as two more Titans players test positive for COVID-19. The Titans were also planning on reopening their facilities on Wednesday, but that has been postponed.
Multiple reports came out that confirmed that two Titans players tested positive for COVID-19, including a report from Tom Pelissero.
This is exactly what the Titans didn’t need on Wednesday as they are getting closer to Sunday. The positive also means that the Titans won’t be opening facilities at all this week and won’t have the opportunity to meet in-person before their game against the Bills on Sunday.
The Titans now have a total of 12 players that have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last two weeks. Some of those players are key players for the Titans who likely won’t play on Sunday.
If I had to guess, the Titans won’t be playing on Sunday. They could play on Monday or Tuesday, but it could be tough for the Titans to be ready to play on Sunday and also have no more positive COVID-19 tests.
The longer we go and more Titans continue to test positive, the worse the situation is going to get. The Titans can’t suffer losing any more players or any more practice days.
Now the Titans will have to go two more days without any positive COVID-19 tests before they can try and open their facilities again, and even if they do make it through the next two days, I don’t know if the NFL will let them open their facilities before Sunday.
