The Tennessee Titans have a dominant front seven, and two elite defensive linemen are leading the charge up front for the first quarter of the season.

There’s one thing that we knew about the Tennessee Titans coming into the 2020 season. The Titans’ front seven had the potential to be elite and one of the best front sevens in the NFL.

So far, the Titans have lived up to that and have brought the heat up front. The Titans even have two players that have ranked in Pro Football Focus’ top-50 linemen after Week 4.

Of the best offensive and defensive linemen in the NFL, Jeffery Simmons and Jadeveon Clowney made the cut of the top-50 best linemen in the league.

No Titans offensive linemen made the cut, but Simmons came in at No. 46 with a grade of 89.5 and Clowney at No. 40 with a grade of 72.9.

"Why he’s ranked here: “Clowney has been more disruptive for his new team than the zero sacks he has recorded this season would suggest. His 13.3% pressure rate is a top-20 mark among edge defenders with at least 50 pass-rushing snaps, and he has been a force in the run game. That’s an area in which he has excelled throughout his career, even if he has never quite lived up to expectations as a pass-rusher.”"

"Why he’s ranked here: “Simmons had a solid showing as a rookie last season after starting the year sidelined with injury, and now it looks as if he is on the verge of breaking out. He recorded a career-high seven pressures in his last game — a Week 3 contest with the Vikings — and has one of the higher grades at the interior defender position this season.”"

After a flurry of Titans players tested positive for COVID-19, hopefully, everyone on the Titans’ front seven will be ready to go by Tuesday when the Titans play the Bills. The Titans will likely be without Simmons, which would be a big hit for the Titans’ defense.

The Titans are scheduled to face the Bills on Tuesday after the Sunday game was moved back. The Titans have had no new reported positive COVID tests on Monday, so as long as that’s the case again on Tuesday, then we could see the Titans play for the first time since September 27.
