Tennessee Football is looking to get its first win in over a month after losing three straight games before the Vols’ BYE week.

The last time Tennessee football won a game was on October 3 in a blowout win over Missouri. Now, after three straight losses, the Vols will look to win its first game in over a month after having a BYE week this past week.

Tennessee’s opponent for the game they’ll bounce-back win is the Arkansas Razorbacks. A team that looked to be an easy win on the schedule at the start of the season has turned into a game that will likely be a tough one for Tennessee to win.

ESPN’s Football Power Index has the Razorbacks as favorites to start the week. Tennessee has a 47.2 percent chance to win Saturday’s game compared to Arkansas’ 52.8 percent chance to win.

Both teams currently sit at 2-3, so if either team wants to get a bowl game at the end of the season (assuming that the bowl season will be played), then winning this game on Saturday will be an important step to getting there.

Arkansas hasn’t been a great SEC team over the past decade, but the Razorbacks have done enough to beat the Vols in the two times they faced off since 2011.

Sam Pittman’s squad looks to be putting the pieces together while Jeremy Pruitt can’t figure out who’s best to run the offense at quarterback.

Speaking of quarterback, Jarrett Guarantano looked a bit better against Alabama, but that doesn’t mean that he’s going to turn things around during the second half of the season. If I had to guess, there’s a pretty good chance that Guarantano doesn’t have a breakout five games to end the season.

Vegas has the Vols as 1.5-point favorites to open the week, so it seems between ESPN and Vegas that the oddsmakers throughout the country are slightly split on who to take as the favorite going into this game.
