Tennessee Football has opened as big underdogs against Texas A&M, and it looks like they’ll have a tall task ahead of them this Saturday.

The college football season is almost over, and many Tennessee football fans can’t be happier to see the light at the end of the tunnel. The Vols’ season finale will be against No. 5-ranked Texas A&M Aggies. It won’t be an easy game for the Vols, but after Tennessee’s dominant win over Vanderbilt, there’s some hope on VolTwitter that the Vols can compete with the Aggies.

LSU’s win over Florida is giving some Tennessee fans some hope that an upset is possible. The only difference between this game and that one is there is little to no animosity between Texas A&M and Tennessee players. The programs haven’t had the opportunity to hate each other yet.

This week’s game could be the game that could add a little fire between the two programs, but as of right now, it’s just a top-five team going up against a struggling SEC team. For everyone outside of the Tennessee bubble, this will be another easy blowout win for an elite SEC team.

The oddsmakers believe the same thing as the Aggies are 13.5-point favorites over the Vols. Don’t be surprised if the Aggies easily cover that, but you can’t overlook the Tennessee offense’s success over the past two games.

With Harrison Bailey and JT Shrout at quarterback, the Tennessee offense has seen a big jump in production, and the Vols are actually scoring touchdowns and being competitive. Bailey and Shrout have both had a game where they outplayed the other, so this final game could be a game for one of them to get a jump on the other going into the offseason.

I was worried that Tennessee could lose to Vanderbilt, but with Tennessee’s offense being run by two younger quarterbacks, it has been surprisingly much better than I expected.

The Vols and Aggies will face off in one final matchup in the regular season. If the Vols win, they’ll likely go to a bowl game, and if the Aggies win, we could see the Vols’ disappointing season come to an end.
