Former Tennessee Vols running back Alvin Kamara is hoping to make an impact as a rookie in 2017 with the New Orleans Saints.

Recently drafted running back Alvin Kamara, who endeared himself to Tennessee Vols fans during his brief time in Knoxville, is representing his new team, the New Orleans Saints, at this week’s NFLPA rookie premiere.

The event, which takes place from Thursday to Sunday this week in Los Angeles, is suppose to help rookies learn the business side of football. Over 40 rookies are attending the event.

With the event now underway, several photos of former Vol running back Kamara have emerged on social media, including his NFLPA rookie premiere card.

Kamara was drafted in the third round of the 2017 NFL Draft by the Saints. He will play behind Adrian Peterson and Mark Ingram as a rookie, but he has the potential to be the Saints’ main running back.

If nothing else, as a rookie, Kamara should immediately contribute on special teams as a punt returner.
