The Tennessee Vols secured a commitment from a three-star wide receiver/athlete on Monday evening.

Nearly three months to the day after he was offered by the Tennessee Vols, Shocky Jacques-Louis committed to play his college football on Rocky Top.

Jacques-Louis received his offer from the Vols on May 22, on Monday evening he tweeted that he’s committed to Tennessee.

Perhaps having the best name in the 2018 recruiting class, Jacques-Louis is a three-star wide receiver/athlete from Fort Myers, FL (Dunbar). He’s rated by the 247Sports as the 72nd best player in the state of Florida and the 77th best wide receiver in the nation.

The 6’1″/175 lb athlete, who will almost certainly play wide receiver for the Vols, committed to Tennessee over offers from Georgia, Kentucky, Louisville, Michigan, Missouri, North Carolina, Pittsburgh and South Carolina, among several others.

Jacques-Louis was previously committed to Kentucky, but he reopened his recruitment shortly after taking unofficial visits to South Carolina and Tennessee in early June.

The Florida native is a bit raw at the wide receiver position, but he has enough upside to turn into a first string player for the Volunteers.

The Vols now have 22 commits to their 2018 recruiting class. Jacques-Louis is the third wide receiver in Tennessee’s 2018 class, and likely the last.

Four-star Alontae Taylor (6’0″/180 lbs from Manchester, TN) and three-star Jatavious Harris (6’2″/176 lbs from Milledgeville, GA) are the other two wide receivers committed to the Vols’ 2018 class.
