Ben Albert

Current Position: Associate Defensive Coordinator/Defensive Line Coach at Duke

This one is definitely a wild card, and maybe a bit of a stretch, but Ben Albert could be a good fit with the Vols.

Albert joined David Cutcliffe’s staff at Duke last season after spending three season’s as Boston College’s defensive line coach.

At Boston College, Albert had a decent amount of success.

In 2015, the  Eagles led the nation in total defense and tackles for loss per game.

Boston College’s rushing defense was also in the top five in the nation in 2015.

Albert was a finalist for Football Scoop’s defensive line coach of the year in 2015 as well.

This is probably a name that most fans aren’t familiar with, but Albert is someone that would be a very solid hire for the Vols.

Duke doesn’t disclose salary information, but money wouldn’t be an issue in this case.
