Daimion Stafford — Safety

It’s no secret that Tennessee’s secondary was a weak point of the defense in 2016.

But Daimion Stafford is a player in that secondary that is starting to emerge.

The former Nebraska Cornhusker more than doubled his tackle output from 2015 in 2016 with 52 total tackles.

The Titans can’t completely start over in their secondary. They’ll definitely make some additions in free agency and the draft, but they also have to rely on some guys that were there last season.

Stafford, who will be entering his fifth year in the league next season, is one of those guys. There’s no reason that Tennessee should let him walk and be a key contributor for another team.

Even if the Titans sign another safety this off-season, Stafford can still be a key part of the defense.
