Starting Quarterback Battle

This is obviously what most people will be keeping an eye on during the Vols’ spring game.

And Butch Jones is well aware of that.

I wouldn’t expect Jones to do anything that might tip his hand here. He will probably give an equal amount of reps to Quinten Dormady and Jarrett Guarantano.

Dormady will be probably go first in reps/scrimmages, but that will likely be because he’s a junior.

While we might not get a good idea of who Jones prefers (the feeling is that Jones is split right now), we will at least get a good look at the skills of the two front runners to be Tennessee’s starting quarterback in 2017.

The Vols are fortunate to have two SEC caliber quarterbacks in Dormady and Guarantano. They’ll be in good hands with whichever one ends up winning the job.
