Jalen Reeves-Maybin — Linebacker

Projection: Arizona Cardinals —  Round 6 — Pick 197

Jalen Reeves-Maybin is a bit undersized by NFL standards. That’s why, despite his history of production as Vol, he will fall to he later rounds of the 2017 NFL Draft.

In my opinion, however, Reeves-Maybin is a perfect fit for the Arizona Cardinals’ defense.

Arizona loves using the “moneybacker” position, which is basically a hybrid safety/linebacker.

JRM is tailored made to play that position in the NFL. He’s similar in size to Cardinals safety/linebacker Deone Bucannon.

When you draft a guy in the sixth round, you’re not expecting him to come in and earn a starting job. I’m not saying JRM isn’t capable of eventually becoming a starter, but whoever drafts him will be selecting him for depth.

Reeves-Maybin would also provide the Cardinals with a player that could immediately contribute on special teams.
