Fans of the Nashville Predators got a thrill Wednesday evening as P.K. Subban shined in the win over the Blues.

In Wednesday’s game one of the second round of the Stanley Cup Playoffs, P.K. Subban was remarkable for the Nashville Predators with one goal scored and two assists. The one score was also his first goal of the postseason so far.

Subban was the first defenseman in Predator’s history to tally three points in a playoff game. Even with former defenseman Shea Weber being such a big part of the team last year, he didn’t even achieve this milestone.

Subban brought the whole team together with his raw emotion in the game. Even when the credit for the goal went to another player, he still celebrated every goal as if it was the go ahead goal in game seven of the finals.

If the Predators want to continue their playoff success, they will need to keep giving the puck to PK. With all four goals being able to be traced back to the stick of Subban, they should give him the puck as much as possible.

Fiala Injury

While taking a 1-0 series lead over the Blues with a 4-3 win, the team did lose someone very important. Forward Kevin Fiala. Fiala suffered a fractured femur in the second period of the game when he crashed into the boards behind St. Louis’ net.

More from Nashville Predators

Fiala was rushed to the hospital after the injury occurred. He has already had surgery that was successful. Many players have already offered support to the young talent. He will be forced to miss the remainder of the postseason.

Fiala tallied two goals in round one of the playoffs. One of them was the OT game-winner against the Blackhawks in game three. Fiala’s talent and enthusiasm will surely be missed in the upcoming games.

Predators Look to Stay Undefeated on Friday

With a sweep and a game one win in the books, the Predators must stay on task if they want to beat the St. Louis Blues. The team must stay humble as many teams (including the Preds last postseason against the Ducks.) can let a 1-0 series lead slip through their fingers.

The Blue’s goalie stopped 28-of-32 shots faced last night while Predators goalie, Pekka Rinne, only stopped 27-of-30 shots faced. The three goals the Blues scored matches the series total for the Blackhawks in round one.

As of now, the Predators have not lost a game in the Stanley Cup Playoffs. This could all change as they are going to be playing an angry St. Louis Blues team in game 2.

It will be Predators vs. The Blues at the Scottrade Center in St. Louis, MO, on Friday, April 28 at 7:00 p.m. Central Time. Jake Allen and Pekka Rinne will most likely be in net for the two teams. It will be tough, but Rinne will try to continue his playoff success.
