Tennessee Football: 5 Reasons Jon Gruden Would Take The Vols Job
By Zach Ragan
It’s His Dream Job
I don’t doubt Gruden when he said in 2015 that Tennessee is a dream job for him.
Would he be able to tell Tennessee no again?
This could be the last opportunity Gruden ever gets to land the Tennessee job. It might be too tempting for him to pass up.
Earlier this year Gruden made the comment that he liked to work too much to be a college coach.
But I’m not sure that would be an issue for Gruden.
Sure, his time on the field with players would be limited, but he’d be able to spend an unlimited amount of time watching game film. He’d also spend a lot of time evaluating potential recruits.
Trust me, there’s plenty of opportunity for Gruden to work 80 plus hours a week at Tennessee.

Gruden said the timing wasn’t right in 2012 for him to take the UT job.
Perhaps the timing is perfect this time around.
