Willie Taggart — Oregon head coach

I feel like this is the bottom of Tennessee’s list. This is the floor of their coaching search.

No one has any doubts that Taggart would take the Tennessee job if it was offered to him (though his first choice would be the Florida job).

Taggart is known as a good recruiter, and he had one really good season at South Florida (he won 11 games there in 2016).

But outside of that, his resumé is fairly unremarkable. He might end up being a fantastic coach, but I think he’d be a huge gamble for the Vols.

Hopefully they don’t get this far down the list, but he has to considered an option if some of Tennessee’s top choices decline the job.
