Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban trolled the hell out of the Vanderbilt Commodores on Thursday.

While the rest of us were focused on Jon Gruden and tracking random planes out of Tampa, Nick Saban was trolling the hell out of the Vanderbilt Commodores.

On Thursday evening, Saban told the media that everywhere in the SEC is a tough place to play.

Everywhere, that is, except for Vanderbilt.

Saban just completely buried the Commodores’ football program with that statement.

And for what it’s worth, Saban wasn’t actually trolling Vandy. He was answering a question with his honest opinion, which might even be worse.

Saban pointed out that Vanderbilt has a small stadium and Alabama usually has more fans in the stands than the Commodores.

I mean, he’s not wrong at all.

Every other years when the Vols make the trip to Nashville, there’s definitely way more orange in the crowd than any other color.

We all know this. Even Vanderbilt knows this. But I was still shocked to hear Saban, who is often very diplomatic in regards to other teams in the conference, point this out.

I know Saban had his infamous “I’m not going to be the head coach at Alabama” moment, but for the most part he displays remarkable honesty when he interacts with the media (at least from an outsider’s perspective).

After listening to Butch Jones’ ridiculous coach speak and cliches for the last five years, it’s refreshing anytime you hear a coach talk candidly.

By the way, Nick Saban is 3-0 in his three games against Vanderbilt as the Alabama head coach. The Commodores haven’t scored against Bama since 2007.
