4. Mike Gundy — Oklahoma State Head Coach

A lot of folks scoff at the idea of Mike Gundy to Tennessee, but he’d be worlds better than the last three coaches Tennessee’s employed.

Gundy typically wins at least 10 games a year. He’s also reached 11 and 12 wins before. He’s done this with recruiting classes are typically ranked 20th to 35th in the nation.

If Gundy could land a good defensive coordinator, I think he could have sustained success in the SEC East.

Of course the big question is whether or not he’d leave his alma mater for Tennessee. There’s been a lot of chatter in recent years that Gundy and the athletic department don’t get along at all.

But we also can’t forget that Gundy used Tennessee to get a raise in 2012. So who knows what kind of interest he’d actually have.

Regardless, I think Currie has to make calls to Mike Gundy.
