Game 6: Auburn Tigers

Last year’s record: 10-4

FPI’s Projected win total: 9.1-3.2

FPI Chance of winning: 10.1%

Auburn begins the year ranked as the No. 9 team in the country, but that could possibly change for the best or worst, as they have open the 2018 season with a game against No. 6 Washington.

Tennessee will come into this game fresh off of a much needed bye week. This will be yet another tough road matchup for the Volunteers.

Tennessee heads into this game with a six-game losing streak in the series. If the Volunteers are able to beat that streak, it would be huge, especially for first-year head coach Pruitt.

Like Georgia, Auburn will have to replace some playmakers like Kerryon Johnson and Carlton Davis, but also return starting quarterback Jarrett Stidham.

I think this game will be a lot like the Georgia game two weeks before. Tennessee will be able to hang with the Tigers for the first half, but Auburn will be able to pull away behind a sold-out crowd, giving the Volunteers their third loss of the season.

Prediction: Auburn Tigers 38 – Tennessee Volunteers 24

Vols Record: 3-3
