On Monday, Marcus Spears said that the Tennessee Titans should choose Tom Brady over Ryan Tannehill, and that choice is a “no-brainer.”

The Tennessee Titans have an important decision to make in free agency. They have to choose between Ryan Tannehill and Tom Brady.

Currently, reports are saying that the Titans are the first team on Brady’s list, so I think we have to take his interest seriously now until he officially signs with a team.

Tannehill has said he wants to stay in Nashville long-term, and why wouldn’t he? He just had the best season in his career and was one of the best quarterbacks in the league at the end of the season. Of course, he wants to come back.

Brady, on the other hand, struggled in 2019 and was not playing like he has in previous years. He even lost to Tannehill and the Titans in the Wild Card Round.

It seems like a “no-brainer” that the Titans would resign Tannehill and focus on the next few seasons, not sign Brady and throw everything you have into hoping 2020 will be your year.

Apparently some disagree with that statement. I don’t know if any Titans fans would disagree with that, but ESPN analyst Marcus Spears said the opposite on “Get Up” on Monday morning.

"“Tom Brady. What the hell are we talking about? This is such a no-brainer,” Spears said. “If you’re talking about succession plan and where Tennessee goes to the future, obviously that’s a different conversation.”"

Derrick Henry was defending his quarterback, and Spears went on to say that Henry was wrong and that the Titans should take Brady over Tannehill. Spears did give Tannehill some credit for his performance last season but ultimately landed on Brady.

"“I really enjoyed what Ryan Tannehill did this year with the Titans,” Spears continued. “He played well. He played within a system and he was actually being the catalyst for this offense for a number of weeks, although Derrick Henry was having this monumental year in the backfield. With that being said, there is no way in two hells I would not take Tom Brady over Ryan Tannehill with a team this close, with this amount of talent, with the opportunity to win a Super Bowl. If we start talking about winning Super Bowls, Tom Brady puts Tennessee definitely in position.”"

This decision can make or break the Titans’ future depending on who they sign and how it turns out. Could Tom Brady lead the Titans to a Super Bowl win in 2020 with Derrick Henry by his side? Could Ryan Tannehill win multiple Super Bowls over the next five years with Henry?

Next. Tennessee Titans are already being counted out of Super Bowl odds. dark

Free agency is right around the corner, and the Titans have the biggest decision to make in free agent Titans history.
