USA Today’s Touchdown Wire has made a mid-free agency power rankings, and the Tennessee Titans cracked the top ten at number six.

As we’ve seen in the past, the Tennessee Titans are often overlooked and underrated. I think that’s a big reason why the Titans made it all the way to the AFC Championship before most NFL fans started taking them seriously.

Heck, even earlier this week, the Titans were snubbed by MGM in its early over/under win totals for the 2020 season. The Titans were placed at 8.5 wins for this season, which I think is a bit low.

Not everyone is overlooking the Titans, though. Mark Schofield of USA Today’s Touchdown Wire released his mid-free agency power rankings, and the Titans cracked the top ten.

In fact, the Titans were all the way up to sixth in the power rankings, and it looks like Schofield has high hopes for the Titans this fall. The Titans fell between the Buffalo Bills and the Green Bay Packers in the rankings.

"“The Titans are largely looking to just run it back from a season ago. They signed quarterback Ryan Tannehill to a four-year, $118 million extension, which freed up the franchise tag to be used on Derrick Henry, their workhorse running back,” Schofield said. “They also signed another contract extension with Dennis Kelly, who likely slides into the right tackle spot vacated by Jack Conklin.”“They made the decision to release Cameron Wake defensively, but adding Vic Beasley was a nice move to replace what they lost off the edge,” he continued. “Beasley might be a few seasons away from his career-high 16.5 sacks in 2016, but he still had 36 total pressures a season ago and nine sacks, his highest output since that 2016 campaign. Pairing him with Harold Landry is likely an upgrade to their pass rush unit.”"

That’s not the only power rankings that the Titans were ranked in the top ten. In NFL.com’s most recent power rankings, the Titans were also ranked sixth.

"“With a new deal for Ryan Tannehill and the franchise tag for Derrick Henry, the Titans will enter the 2020 campaign with the two players who guided them to the brink of an AFC title, including a playoff conquest in Foxborough in January,” NFL.com’s Dan Hanzus said. “(Quick aside: Congrats to free agent Logan Ryan, who can always say he intercepted Tom Brady’s final pass as a Patriot and took it to the end zone.)“Not all the news was good in the first wave of free agency, though: Right tackle Jack Conklin, a former top-10 pick who routinely blew open running lanes for Henry, is now in Cleveland on a rich free-agent deal. Coming off a monster 2019 workload and absent a key run blocker, it’s fair to wonder if a dip in production is coming for Henry.”"

In NFL.com’s power rankings, the Titans were ranked in front of the Seahawks and behind the Packers. If Jadeveon Clowney is still trying to make his decision on where to sign, I would recommend he take a look at these power rankings. It might help his decision.

After the Titans free agency moves so far, it looks like general manager Jon Robinson and the Titans are making the right decisions so far, and a couple more additions could push the Titans into the top five if they can sign the right athletes.

Next. What are the odds Tennessee Football makes the CFP? Turns out it’s pretty good. dark

I think that the Titans are right where they should be in these rankings. They were one of the hottest teams in the NFL in the playoffs. The Titans are one or maybe two moves away from being a Super Bowl-winning team. It’s only a matter of if they will make the right moves to get there.
